Collection: Porcelain Grace
"Porcelain Grace" is about the feeling of being trapped by expectations, trying to be perfect, and showing the world what it wants to see—a struggle that royalty, with all their pressure, really brings to life.
I inspired myself by the elegance of 18th-century French royalty combined with Delft blue porcelain. I’ve always had a thing for Delft blue porcelain—it’s just so timeless and genuinely Dutch. So, I used royal blue to bring in that regal vibe. Her porcelain-like skin represents this 'perfect world' she’s caught in, almost like a porcelain doll.
Each photo captures a little piece of this fantasy, royal, fragile world, where soft light and rich fabrics meet beautiful floral details. I’m pretty proud to say I did all the styling and makeup myself!
I feel we all experience this struggle at some point in our lives, and it's so important to push ourselves to stay close to who we really are, even if it means being less perfect to others.
Porcelain Grace is an open edition fine art photography series.
