From a deeply personal place, I created the Free Spirits Collection. As women, we often have many different sides to us. Some are more present than others, while some remain hidden inside until the right moment comes along. This realization led me to a poem titled Free Spirits, which spoke to my heart and captured the struggle that so many women face.
Being true to oneself
For me, being true to oneself is a constant journey of change. It's about embracing who we want to be, but also acknowledging the experiences we've had and the obstacles we've overcome. As I reflected on my own life, I realized that I've experienced many different versions of myself, some more prominent than others.
With the Free Spirits Collection, I aimed to capture all these different sides of a woman. The characters in my artwork are all depicted in black and white, as I believe that true beauty is not defined by color. Each piece is raw, detailed, and feminine, portraying a different aspect of womanhood.
The characters
To add an element of nature to my artwork, I decided to translate each character into a bird. This was a challenging task for me, as I have (funny enough) a fear of birds, but I found inspiration in their beauty and symbolism. Through this collection, I hope to connect with women on a deeper level and inspire them to embrace all the different sides of themselves. Characters such as Adira (Miss Peacock) and Dvita (Lady Magpie) represent the spirit of pride and prosperity, showing us how to harness our own intelligence and resourcefulness to achieve our goals. Adira embodies the spirit of rejuvenation and rebirth, while Dvita represents the power of luck and ingenuity. By recognizing our own talents and abilities, and using them to pursue our dreams, we can achieve a sense of pride and fulfillment in our lives.

At the same time, the Free Spirits collection reminds us of the importance of living in the present moment. Characters such as Ines (Lady Swan) and Surie (Lady Ostrich) embody the spirit of purity and denial, reminding us to ground ourselves in the present and find joy in the simple things in life. Ines encourages us to be romantic, loyal, and devoted to our loved ones, while Surie reminds us to focus on positive vibes and let go of negativity.
